SAFe Release Train Engineer & SAFe Coach

Position Overview
As a Release Train Engineer and SAFe coach, you will be a servant leader for the ART, guiding Agile teams and stakeholders in their adoption of SAFe principles and practices. You will play a key role in fostering a Lean-Agile mindset across the organization, improving team performance, and enabling the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
SAFe Coaching: Mentor Agile teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and leadership on SAFe roles, principles, and best practices to strengthen Agile capabilities.
Facilitate ART Events: Lead key SAFe ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and Inspect and Adapt workshops to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Promote Lean-Agile Leadership: Work closely with leadership to embed Lean-Agile thinking and support cultural transformation.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives and workshops to identify performance gaps and implement actionable changes.
Risk and Dependency Management: Identify, manage, and resolve risks and dependencies to maintain program flow.
Data-Driven Insights: Use SAFe metrics and tools like Rally or Jira to track progress, report on ART performance, and inform decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer & SAFe Coach, preferably within a large enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with strong coaching skills.
- Exceptional facilitation and leadership abilities to support and mentor teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools Azure DevOps and Apptio Targetprocess.
- SAFe SPC Certification required; additional certifications such as SAFe RTE, SAFe LPM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and leaders.
- Location Requirement: Must be local to Raleigh, NC, or able to commute as needed.
